Deals

Deals represent sales opportunities moving through your pipeline stages. Track values, probabilities, and close dates to forecast revenue and manage your sales process from lead to close.

Views

The Deals page offers three ways to visualize your pipeline:

List View

A sortable, filterable table of all deals with customizable columns.

Features:

  • Search: Find deals by name, company, or contact
  • Filters: Filter by stage, owner, value range, close date
  • Sorting: Sort by any column
  • Column Management: Show/hide and reorder columns
  • Bulk Actions: Update or delete multiple deals

Board View (Pipeline)

Kanban-style board showing deals as cards by stage.

Features:

  • Drag & Drop: Move deals between stages
  • Stage Totals: See value and count per stage
  • Quick Preview: Hover for deal details
  • Pipeline Selection: Switch between pipelines
  • Filter & Sort: By owner, date, value, and other criteria

Analyse View

Analytics dashboard with pipeline metrics.

Features:

  • Revenue Metrics: Total value, win rate, average deal size
  • Stage Analysis: Conversion rates between stages
  • Date Range Filter: Analyze specific periods
  • Export: Download reports as PDF

Working with Deals

Creating a Deal

  1. Navigate to Customers → Deals
  2. Click + Add Deal
  3. Fill in deal information:
    • Name: Deal title (required)
    • Value: Monetary amount / expected revenue
    • Currency: Deal currency
    • Pipeline: Which pipeline
    • Stage: Starting stage
    • Expected Close Date: Projected close date
    • Probability: Win likelihood (%)
    • Owner: Responsible team member
  4. Link associations:
    • Contact: Primary contact person
    • Company: Associated organization
  5. Click Save

Click any deal to open the detail panel with:

Moving Deals Through Pipeline

Drag & Drop (Board View):

  • Drag deal card to target stage column

Edit Stage (Any View):

  • Click deal → Edit → Change stage dropdown

Stage changes are automatically tracked in the activity timeline.

Pipelines & Stages

Default Pipeline Stages

New deal pipelines start with these stages:

These are deal-pipeline stages used to track sales progress. They are distinct from contact lifecycle stages, which describe where a person sits in their journey.

Multiple Pipelines

Manage different sales processes with separate pipelines:

  • Sales Pipeline: Standard B2B sales process
  • Enterprise Pipeline: Complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Renewal Pipeline: Existing customer renewals

Managing Pipelines

  1. Go to Settings → CRM Settings → Pipelines
  2. Create or edit pipelines
  3. Add, remove, or rename stages
  4. Define stages with:
    • Name: Stage label
    • Probability: Default win likelihood
    • Color: Visual indicator
    • Order: Position in pipeline

Stage Tracking

The system automatically tracks:

  • Time in each stage
  • Stage entry/exit dates
  • Stage-to-stage conversion rates

Deal Products

Link products/services to calculate deal value:

Adding Products

  1. Open deal detail
  2. Go to Products tab
  3. Click + Add Product
  4. Select product from catalog
  5. Set quantity and unit price
  6. Optional: Apply discount
  7. Save

Product Summary

  • Subtotal: Sum of line items
  • Discount: Applied discounts
  • Tax: Calculated taxes
  • Total: Final deal value

Value syncs automatically when products change.

Payment Schedules

Set up payment milestones (one-time, milestone, installment, or recurring) for deals directly from the Payment Schedule tab. See Payments for full details on payment types, scheduling, tracking, and invoicing.

Calculate expected revenue:

Expected Value = Deal Value × Probability %

Viewing Forecasts

  1. Go to Analytics → Dashboards
  2. Select the Pipeline Dashboard
  3. See total pipeline value, weighted forecast, and deals by stage

Import & Export

Importing Deals

  1. Click More menu → Import Deals
  2. Upload CSV file
  3. Map columns:
    • Name, Value, Stage
    • Contact email (to link)
    • Company name (to link)
  4. Review and import

Exporting Deals

  1. Apply filters
  2. Click MoreExport to CSV
  3. Download includes all visible columns
