  • Date Format: How dates are displayed (MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, etc.)
  • Time Format: 12-hour or 24-hour clock
  • First Day of Week: Start of calendar week (Sunday or Monday)

  3. Configure your preferred formats

Note: Only Owners and Admins can modify these settings.

Timezone

Setting Organization Timezone

Your organization's timezone affects:

  • Workflow Scheduling: When scheduled workflows execute
  • Reports: Timestamp display in analytics and reports
  • Campaign Delivery: When email/SMS campaigns are sent
  • Voice Call Scheduling: Outbound call timing
  • Webhook Timestamps: Event timestamps in outgoing webhooks

How to Change:

  1. Click the Timezone dropdown
  2. Search or scroll to find your timezone
  3. Click Save Changes

Common Timezones:

  • America/New_York (EST/EDT)
  • America/Los_Angeles (PST/PDT)
  • Europe/London (GMT/BST)
  • Asia/Kolkata (IST)
  • Asia/Dubai (GST)

Best Practices

Setting Initial Configuration

When setting up your organization:

  1. Set timezone to your primary business location
  2. Match date format to your region's standard
  3. Choose time format your team is familiar with
  4. Set first day of week to match local calendars
  5. Test workflows after changing timezone

Multi-Region Organizations

If your team spans multiple regions:

  • Pick one standard: Use the format of your HQ or largest office
  • Train users: Explain the chosen format to avoid confusion
  • Document it: Add to onboarding materials
  • Consider ISO 8601: YYYY-MM-DD is internationally understood

Timezone Best Practices

  • Don't change frequently: Causes confusion with scheduled workflows
  • Update workflows: After timezone change, check scheduled workflows
  • Test campaigns: Verify email/SMS campaigns send at correct local times
  • Daylight saving: System auto-adjusts for DST transitions

Impact of Changes

Immediate Effects

Changes apply instantly to:

  • New timestamps (created from now on)
  • Interface display (after page refresh)
  • Reports generated after change

No Effect On

  • Historical data (past timestamps remain in original format internally)
  • Exported files already downloaded
  • Webhooks already sent

Requires Manual Update

  • Scheduled Workflows: Reschedule if timezone changed
  • Campaign Send Times: Update if timezone changed

Troubleshooting

Dates Showing in Wrong Format

Issue: Dates still show old format after changing settings

Solutions:

  1. Hard refresh: Press Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows)
  2. Clear cache: Clear browser cache and reload
  3. Check user settings: Some date displays may use browser locale

Scheduled Workflows Running at Wrong Time

Issue: Workflows execute at unexpected times

Solutions:

  1. Check timezone: Verify organization timezone in Date & Time settings
  2. Update schedules: Edit workflow trigger times after timezone change
  3. Use UTC: For critical schedules, note the UTC equivalent

Number Format Not Applying

Issue: Numbers show with wrong separators

Solutions:

  1. Refresh page: Number format requires page reload
  2. Check field type: Ensure field is set to "Number" type
  3. Re-export: Regenerate reports/exports after format change

FAQ

Q: Can individual users set their own timezone? A: No, timezone is organization-wide. All users see times in the org's configured timezone.

Q: Will changing timezone affect past workflow execution times? A: Display times will update, but the actual execution happened when it happened. Historical data integrity is preserved.

Q: What happens during daylight saving time transitions? A: The system automatically adjusts for DST. Workflows scheduled for ambiguous hours (e.g., 2:30 AM on spring-forward day) execute based on standard time rules.

Q: Can I use different date formats for different modules? A: No, date format is consistent across the entire platform for clarity.

Q: How do I know which timezone my organization is using? A: Check Settings → Admin → Date & Time. The current timezone is displayed at the top.
