Tata Tele Smartflo Integration
Connect Expedify with Tata Tele Smartflo to make and receive AI-powered voice calls with complete call recording and transcription.
What You'll Need
- Tata Tele Smartflo account with login credentials
- At least one phone number purchased in Smartflo
- Your Expedify organization access
Part 1: Basic Integration Setup
Step 1: Access Expedify Integrations
- Log into your Expedify dashboard
- If you have multiple organizations, select the one where you want to connect Tata Tele
- Go to Settings in the left sidebar
- Click Integrations
- Click Add Integration button
- Search for Tata Tele Smartflo
Step 2: Configure Your Credentials
- Integration Name: Give it a name (e.g., "Tata Tele Sales")
- Login ID: Enter your Smartflo dashboard login email
- Password: Enter your Smartflo dashboard password
- These are the same credentials you use to log into your Smartflo dashboard
Step 3: Add Your Caller ID

Finding Your Number:
- If you remember your number, enter it directly
- Otherwise, open Smartflo Dashboard
- Click Services in the menu
- Click My Numbers
- Copy the number you want to use

In Expedify:
- Paste the phone number in Caller ID field
- Enable Transcription if you need call transcripts
- Toggle Make Default to set as your organization's default number
- Click Create Integration
Step 4: Verify Connection
- Go to Active Integrations
- You should see Tata Tele Smartflo showing as Active
- Click Test Call to verify the integration
- Enter a phone number and click Make Test Call
✅ Success! Your basic integration is complete.
Part 2: Webhook Setup (For Recordings & Call Details)
To capture call recordings, transcripts, and call details in Expedify, you need to set up webhooks in your Smartflo dashboard.
Step 1: Get Webhook URL from Expedify
- In Expedify, go to Settings > Integrations
- Find your Tata Tele integration
- Click on the Webhook URL section
- Copy the Status Callback URL
- You'll use this same URL for both inbound and outbound webhooks in Smartflo
Step 2: Create Inbound Webhook
- Go to Smartflo Dashboard
- Navigate to API Connect
- Click Webhooks
- Click Add Hook → Add Webhook
- Configure:
- Name: "Expedify Inbound" (or any name you prefer)
- Description: Optional
- URL: Paste the Status Callback URL from Expedify
- Method: POST
- Event: Select Call Tagging or Call Answered
- Number: Select the number you added in Expedify
- Click Save
Step 3: Create Outbound Webhook
- In the same Webhooks section, click Add Hook again
- Configure:
- Name: "Expedify Outbound"
- Description: Optional
- URL: Paste the same Status Callback URL from Expedify
- Method: POST
- Event: Select Click to Call and Call Hang Up or Call Answered
- Number: Select the same number
- Click Save
✅ Done! Webhooks are configured. Expedify will now capture all call details, recordings, and transcripts automatically.
Part 3: AI Voice Calling Setup (Required for AI Calls)
To make AI-powered voice calls, you need to set up the voice stream endpoint and API key.
Step 1: Get Voice Stream URL from Expedify
- In Expedify, go to Settings > Integrations
- Find your Tata Tele integration
- Click on the Webhook URL section
- Copy the Voice Stream URL (Inbound + Outbound AI Calls)
- This URL is specifically for AI voice streaming
Step 2: Create Voice Bot Endpoint in Smartflo
- Go to Smartflo Dashboard
- Click Channels in the menu
- Select Voice Bot
- Click Add an Endpoint
- Configure:
- Endpoint Name: "Expedify Bot" (or any name you prefer)
- Description: Optional (e.g., "Expedify AI Voice Agent")
- Endpoint Type: Select Static
- Endpoint URL: Paste the Voice Stream URL from Expedify
- Click Save
Step 3: Generate API Key for AI Calling
- In Smartflo Dashboard, go to API Connect
- Click Click to Call → Support API
- Click Generate API Key
- Configure:
- Number: Select the phone number you want to use for AI calls
- Destination Type: Select the Voice Bot you just created (Expedify Bot)
- Click Submit
- Copy the API Key - You'll need this for workflows
Step 4: Use API Key in Workflows
- In Expedify, create a new workflow or edit an existing one
- Add the Make Voice Call node (Outbound Node)
- Select your Tata Tele integration
- Paste the API Key you copied from Smartflo
- Configure your AI calling workflow
✅ All Set! You can now make AI-powered calls using Tata Tele through Expedify workflows.

Troubleshooting
Integration not showing as active?
- Double-check your login ID and password
- Ensure your Smartflo account is active

Recordings not appearing in Expedify?
- Verify webhooks are correctly configured in Smartflo
- Check that webhook URLs are pasted correctly
- Ensure the correct phone number is selected in webhook settings
Test call fails?
- Check your internet connection
- Verify Smartflo service status
- Ensure the caller ID is verified in Smartflo
- Contact Tata Tele support for account issues
AI calls not working?
- Verify Voice AI endpoint is created and active in Expedify
- Check API token generation in Smartflo API Connect
- Ensure endpoint URL is correctly configured
